Must not be a very good friend. I totally agree with your point. Why spend a year's salary (or more) on a single day, and ask so many others to spend large amounts of money as well? Perhaps that's why the economy's in the shit--too much spending money we don't have, or that we do have, and should spend somewhere useful.
